Select Texas Tournament Team
The Select Texas Tournament Team this June will be comprised of players from around the country to play in this event for the coaches from Huston Tilliston University.
At this event the college coaches from Huston Tilliston will be in the dugout & on the field with players. This is giving the players in attendance hands on experience of learning what it is like to play for HTU. All players will be allowed to play their primary, secondary and a position the college coaches would like to see them play at. At-Bats are guaranteed. Time on the field is guaranteed. College exposure is guaranteed by CSB. All players will be tested out at some point during the event. All of the stats gathered will be sent out to every college program in the country.
Players on this team are one step closer to achieving their dream of playing college softball.
If players would like to fly in alone will be picked up by the college coaches and stay in the same hotel as those coaches. They will also be under the watchful eye every minute of the trip until they are returned to the airport. At that point they must text the college coach who dropped them off once they get through security. These players will share a room at the hotel. The most we room together is 4, just like when they are in college. The room cost will be divided by the amount of players sharing the room.
The return flights for players attending alone will need to be in the late afternoon/night as hotels will be released on the last day of the event. Everything we do is to maintain player/coach compliance with NCAA and NAIA guidelines.
Players bring: black pants, black socks, black belt, high school hat/visor, all equipment, glove(s) and shoes (turf & cleats).
*This is not our tournaments. We bring teams into this event to participate. Therefore, schedule release dates, location changes & rain checks depends on the Tournament Director. We send out information as we receive it & be aware details can change at anytime out of our control.
Softball Tournament Teams:
We place request to not play Friday games. We cannot guarantee the tournament director will not assign our games to this day. We will update you as soon as we are updated from them.
