MISSION STATEMENT
Putting student athletes on the proper path for success during the college years and beyond begins with a correct understanding of the recruitment process.
We at the College Scouting Bureau realize that the recruitment process is confusing and daunting for high school athletes and their families. Each year thousands of dollars are spent attempting to get student -athletes the exposure necessary to attract offers without truly understanding the recruitment process. All too often the sum spent far exceeds the actual amount a college is allowed to offer. The College Scouting Bureau endeavors to be honest and upfront about recruiting, while telling the student - athletes and their families what they need to hear, not what they necessarily want to hear!
THE RECRUITING PROCESS
The majority of high school athletes have a dream to play at the next level. All the years they have spent at practice, working with other athletes, spending time on their craft, on their own, they use this as a way to take that next step.
An athlete should look for "The Right Fit" in a college program: one that does not cost his/her parents, or his/herself, more money to keep playing at the collegiate level than he/she would have paid without playing a college sport.
The recruiting process has many tangibles that must be considered when an athlete is deciding on what school is "The Right Fit" for him/her. These tangibles include: distance away from home, the level in which he/she wishes to play at (D3, D2, D1, JUCO, NAIA), the financial commitment to the institution he/she is looking towards, school size, etc.
The College Scouting Bureau is designed with all these elements in mind. A player may contact any of our staff, at any given time, at no cost if he/she has these questions that WILL come up during the recruiting process. Our job here at CSB is "not to tell you what you want to hear, but to tell you what you need to hear." Our staff is comprised of former, and current, college coaches in the sports of baseball and softball. All members have gone through the recruiting process themselves and are currently involved in the recruiting process. They are instructed to follow the CSB "honesty policy" when dealing with potential student athletes.
The CSB website is unique compared to all other recruiting sites that one may choose to display their information (for the purpose of college exposure). We charge a miniscule fee to the student athlete to have their information on this website, we do not want to break the bank to help athletes reach their goal of college athletics. Our site is also unique with the stipulation that the player's recruiting profile only remains active as long as the student athlete remains active in maintaining the integrity of his/her profile. If the college coach views the player's profile and the numbers are not current, they understand the player is not highly motivated in getting recruited.
